“In regular school, I felt worthless. At GM I feel valued and respected.”

Children are innately curious and motivated

All children are born with an innate wonderment. This natural vitality spans all arenas: social, mental, intellectual, physical and natural. When allowed and encouraged to follow their natural curiosities and unique learning styles, children will develop their fullest capacity. Age does not predetermine the interest or ability of a child; GMTC integrates all ages into its community.

A “Toolbox” education favors the whole child

When children develop the tools to become lifelong learners, they exhibit an uninhibited passion for the art of learning. True mastery fosters individual success, promotes dignity, and engenders respect and understanding of the greater world. GMTC develops the communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity for success in the 21st century.

The educational community serves as a model of democracy and mutual respect

Children are capable of being an integral part of a larger democratic community. Given respect, appropriate expectations, and an open and safe community, children will naturally form opinions, discuss them confidently, and act with integrity. Respect breeds respect. GMTC promotes an atmosphere rich in mutual respect and social-emotional safety, and an ethical culture that fosters dignity and democracy. All members of the GMTC community, young and old, have a voice, and are encouraged to use it. By beginning this process at a young age, children are better prepared to enter their communities as engaged citizens.

“I didn’t want to go to school.
I didn’t want to get out of bed. GM changed all that.”
