Internship.

Internship is another scheduled break from the pre-planned tutorials and seminars when members are encouraged to take a week away from their homeschool studies and learn about their larger community.

Older members are highly encouraged to participate in community service or complete non-academic courses, while younger members either work with extended family members, friends, or in specialized groups to learn new life skills.

Past members volunteered at environmental camps, hiking trails, convalescent centers, food banks, and animal shelters. Other projects have included: bread baking, metal soldier modeling, Shibori fabric dying, electrical wiring, rain barrel placement, and natural horsemanship.

The unofficial sport of Golden Mean is SCUBA diving, so Spring Internship often includes a dive trip.

Members create presentations about their internships to share with the community.
